Nomads United Football Club was established in 1910 and is one of the oldest and largest football clubs in New Zealand. We believe in providing quality, affordable football for all where everyone can play and enjoy football at any level, regardless of their age, skill, gender or ethnicity. 

 

We are looking to expand our operations in 2024 and have a number of paid, part-time roles available. For the right person, these roles could be combined to create a full-time role.

FOOTBALL DEVELOPMENT OFFICER – JUNIOR (PART-TIME)

Overseeing our large junior section at Nomads United AFC, our Junior Football Development Officer would be responsible for maintaining and growing our successful Nomads Skills Centre and Pre-Academy programmes, managing our Junior training hubs and providing coaching support and guidance to our community coaches and teams. Applicants should have an excellent understanding of football and sport generally, be highly motived by junior player development, and be well organised with strong initiative.

FOOTBALL DEVELOPMENT OFFICER – GIRLS & WOMENS (PART-TIME)

Overseeing our growing female section at Nomads United AFC, our Girls & Women’s Football Development Officer would be responsible for overseeing our Female pathway programmes, from our Girls-Only skill centre, to our Female Academy and supporting our Female Senior teams. Applicants should have an excellent understanding of football and sport generally, be highly motived by female player development, and be well organised with strong initiative.

PATHWAY COACHES – (PART-TIME)

Nomads United AFC has a successful track record of producing quality players capable of playing in our first teams and beyond. We are seeking expressions of interest from highly-motivated coaches to join our programme for the 2024 season. Applicants should have an excellent understanding of football and sport generally, be highly motived by player development, and be well organized with strong initiative. 

 

We have roles available for the following positions:

 

Junior Skill Centre Coach (7-10 Years)

Pre-Academy Coach (11-12 Years)

Academy Coach (13-17 Years)

Female Academy Coach (14-16 Years)

 

Desired qualifications (not essential):

 

OFC/NZF C License

OFC/NZF Junior Level 2 

OFC/NZF Youth Level 2

STRENGTH & CONDITIONING COACH – (PART-TIME)

Nomads United AFC is seeking a dedicated and highly motivated Strength and Conditioning Trainer to work within our high-performance environment. 

 

The successful candidate will primarily focus on developing and monitoring the physical capabilities of our premier team athletes, as well as contributing to the Nomads Academy programmes. This role requires expertise in designing and implementing strength and conditioning programs tailored to the needs of high performance football players.
