Matt is our Director of Football and General Manager at Nomads and oversee's all of our football development programmes within the club. He brings a wealth of football experience and knowledge to the role, particularly in the Junior & Youth space where he has spent the past 10 years coaching across a range of high performance youth environments, most notably with Canterbury United in the National Youth League.
Matt is currently the Head Coach of our Mens Southern League side and also coaches our U17 Academy side.
While Matt's passion is in coaching, he also oversees all of the club structures for our Academy and Pre-Academy programmes.

ATTICUS JONES
Atticus is a familiar face around Canterbury football and joined Nomads in 2024 after his role as Football Development Manager at Waimak United AFC. Atticus is also currently the Canterbury United Futsal Dragons Assistant Coach, the Head Coach at St Bedes First XI, and holds a Masters of Science in Psychology, with a specific focus on sports psychology and motivation.
Atticus has taken up the role of Football Development Officer to lead our junior grades and programmes, overseeing:
-Junior Skill Centre & Pre-Academy Programme Coordinator.
-Community Coach Education Lead, delivering NZF qualifications, Nomads-specific coach education and coaching support across key programmes.
-Community programmes coach.
-Nomads Pathway coach.

LUKE ZISWILER
We’re pleased to announce that Luke Ziswiler will be taking on the role of Community Development Officer at Nomads in 2025.

Luke has been involved with Nomads for many years as a player and more recently as a coach in the Academy, Pre Academy and Senior Squad.
Luke has also been involved with St Bedes as their First XI Head Coach, Canterbury United Futsal and has recently completed a Bachelor of Sport Coaching from the University of Canterbury.
