Players that do not wish to be considered for these teams do not have to trial, as long as you are registered prior to the registration cut-off date, you will be placed into a team.

Our Fun Football and First Kicks players (U4-U8) and our 9th grade players do not trial, you will be placed in a team by our Junior Convenor and advised of your team details prior to the start of the season. If you are unsure what age group you should be trialing for, please refer to the Junior-Youth tabs to check date of births.

TEAM SELECTION PROCESS:

You must be registered with Nomads in order to be placed into a team. If you register but do not trial you will still be placed into a team.

SELECTION POLICY:

Trials will be run by our full-time Football Development Staff, Matt Jansen and JD Dennen. They will be assisted by volunteer coaches from within the club.

You do not need to register to attend our trials but you MUST be registered with the club before you are placed in a team. Team placements will begin at the end of the trials and priority will go to those who are registered at that point.

Please only attend the trial for your correct age/grade in 2023. If you are wishing to trial for a different age group you must get approval from the club - please email admin@nomadsafc.org if this is the case.

SCORCHING GOAL FOOTBALL FUND:

The Scorching Goal Football Fund has been established to assist children and youth attending primary or secondary school, aged between 5 years and 18 years who are from financially disadvantaged families or backgrounds, and where finance is a barrier to participation, either at club level, across development programmes or at representative level.

This is not a fund established to specifically support talented players but is rather about providing children and youth with the opportunity to continue to participate in football.
