The Nomads Premier Men's teams compete in the South Island League, the top division of Men's football in the South Island, and the Canterbury Premier League, the top division of Men's Football in Canterbury.
For the 2026 season we have been fortunate to retain the services of our Director of Football, Matt Jansen as the Southern League Head Coach. We have also appointed our Football Development Officer, Atticus Jones as the Canterbury Premier League Head Coach.
Matt has assembled a quality 2026 coaching staff to support and enable both himself and Atticus to continue to build a positive and inclusive culture within the club, and to further develop all players in our top men's teams.
Nomads has a strong history of promoting its Youth players into the Senior teams as we believe that it is important to be able to provide young players with the best pathway possible to help develop their football. For this reason you will see many of our young players making the transition into our Senior teams, all trying to play the same positive and attractive brand of football that Nomads is known for.
We have had many players now come through our system and move onto bigger and better things such as USA scholarships, the Wellington Phoenix academy or moving to Europe to pursue a more professional environment.
